I did something kind of cool and kind of big (ok, so awesome and huge would be appropriate) this year. It began in the fall, when I made a few fall wreaths for friends, and blew up right before the holidays. I’m super excited and can’t wait to share that…
I started my own Etsy shop!
I’m so pumped, because while I love my job, I also love making time after work or on the weekends for crafts and creative ventures. It’s my stress-relief! (Remind me I said that when I’m at Michael’s for the 5th time on a Sunday).
Right now, I’m only working on wreaths, but I hope to work with my dad soon, who is an amazing wood-worker, and see what we can come up with together. It’s just so exciting! And a ton of work, and I know I’m in over my head, but I’m still happy for myself.
This is a huge step for me – taking the time to do something I’ve always wanted to do, something I’m passionate about. With my health, or this, or that, I’ve never really been in this position before, which is willing and able to try something like this. And it’s weird! Being proud of yourself, and happy with yourself, and knowing how to make yourself content…I’m not sure who this person is who is giving you this advice and being all adventurous, but I didn’t think I could do this a year ago. It’s a huge step for me, and even if I fall flat on my face, I am so happy to have started this at all.
So, if you don’t mind, I’d love if you’d check out my shop: Life Is Sweet As A Peach on Etsy. There’s not much there currently, as the ornament wreaths are quickly becoming out-of-season, but I’m planning on making Valentine’s Day ones soon. I do almost all completely custom orders, so if you want something, let’s talk! I’d love the chance to make you something you’ll enjoy for years to come. 🙂
